No restaurant in Queenstown can compete with Stratosfare for views. See for yourself with a memorable dining experience high above town. Take a ride up the Skyline Gondola to the summit of Bob’s Peak and enjoy a sumptuous meal in spectacular surroundings.

As the steepest gondola in the Southern Hemisphere, the Skyline Gondola offers sweeping views of the sparkling waters of Lake Wakatipu and the jagged peaks of the Remarkables. When you reach the top, snap a few photos of these incredible scenes and then head to the Stratosfare restaurant for a dinner packed with views.

With a menu reflecting international flavours, the Stratosfare focuses on using local ingredients, from savoury plates of lamb to fresh fish and shellfish. Choose from a wide array of dishes and linger over your meal as you take in the surrounding scenery. After your last bite, return to Queenstown with another ride on the Skyline Gondola.

Additional Information

  • Children aged 4 and under are complementary.

  • Child rate 5 - 14 require and must be accompanied by a paying adult

  • You must be at least 18 years of age and present a valid photo ID in order to consume alcohol. 

  • There is no specific time booked for Gondola, however, please allow at least 45 minutes prior to check in at the Gondola base before your lunch/ dinner time.

  • Please arrive at the Stratosfare Restaurant on time as your booked dinner time. Dinner may not be served if you’re late and it’s non-refundable.

  • Lunch: available from 12:00pm until 1:45pm

  • Dinner: Early sitting: 4:30pm, 4:45pm, 5:00pm (tables must be vacated by 6:00pm)

  •              Early sitting: 6:30pm, 6:45pm, 7:00pm (duration: max. 90 minutes)           

  •              Late sitting: 8:30pm, 8:45pm (no time limit)

  • Duration: at your own pace (suggest to allow 2.5 hours)

How to Book

  1. Please fill out and submit the booking form. Once the form received, our team will check on the booking's availability on the date and/or time you prefer, otherwise, we will get in touch with you with an alternative date and/or time.

  2. Once the booking's availability confirmed, a payment link with the total amount to pay will be sent to you . Please complete payment as soon as possible to secure the booking as the availability can be changed from time to time. 

  3. Once the payment received, we will confirm your booking within 1 business day and a confirmation voucher will be sent via email.

How to use

  • Upon confirmation email received, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience.

  • Mobile Vouchers are accepted! - Vouchers can also be presented on your mobile device for this attraction.

  • For your information, complete Tour Operator Information including contact details is included on your tour voucher

  • Availability was accurate at the time of booking however, is subject to change due to circumstances out of our control

  • We strongly suggest reconfirming your booking with the tour operator within 24 hours of making your booking and prior to making other travel arrangements

Cancellation Policy

  • If you cancel at least 7 day(s) (NZDT 17:00) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee.

  • If you cancel 4 day(s) (NZDT 17:00) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 50 percent cancellation fee.

  • If you cancel within 3 day(s) (NZDT 17:00) of the scheduled departure, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee.
