General Terms & Conditions


Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. You must not make any booking unless you understand and agree with the following terms and conditions. References to "us", "we" and/or "our" in these terms and conditions shall mean IKIWI TRAVEL CORPORATION LIMITED (iKiwi Travel). 



All prices are subject to availability and can be withdrawn or varied without notice. The price is guaranteed when paid in full. Please note that prices quoted are subject to change. Price changes may occur by reason of matters outside our control which increase the cost of the product or service. Such factors include but are not limited to adverse currency fluctuations, fuel surcharges, taxes increases, charges from tour providers. Please contact your consultant for up to date prices. 


Booking Cancellation & Amendment Charges

Certain fees may be payable in respect of transactions entered into using the Service, as notified at the time of the relevant transaction. These fees may include cancellation fees and, where amendment is permitted, amendment fees. In some cases, Agents may charge cancellation and/or amendment fees in addition to those imposed by travel service providers.

Unless otherwise notified to you at the time of entry into the relevant transaction, a minimum charge of $150 per person is payable to the Agent in respect of any cancellation. These fees are required to offset booking, communication and administration charges, which will have already been incurred by us. In addition to our cancellation fee, you may also be required to pay cancellation fees imposed by our Suppliers (i.e. airlines, hotels etc). The amount of each Supplier’s cancellation fee is beyond our control and payment is solely at your responsibility. These charges can be up to 100% of the cost of the booking regardless of whether travel has commenced. 

All deposits are non-refundable once booking confirmed and paid. No cancellation fee will be imposed where cancellation is made thirty (30) days prior to your departure; A 20% cancellation fee will be incurred where cancellation is made within (30) days and more than fourteen (14) days prior to your departure. However, please note that a 100% cancellation fee might incurred for the hotel reservations where cancellation is made within (30) days and more than fourteen (14) days prior to your departure. Please check with your travel consultant upon booking. A 100% cancellation fee will be incurred where cancellation is made fourteen (14) days and less prior to your departure or if an event of no show happens. 

Where amendment of a booking is permitted, free of charge is provided for the first time amendment. Then, a charge of $25 per person is payable to the Agent for each following permitted amendment each time. The amendment fee will increase to $50 per person if documents have been issued.

Before entering into a transaction, you should carefully check to see whether any other cancellation or amendment fees apply. These charges will be deducted from your credit card at the time charges are incurred.

A full refund will be processed if the booking is cancelled due to service providers' reasons or weather conditions.

The specific policy of amendment and cancellation is subject to the confirmation email or voucher of the booking. 


Deposit & Final Payment

You will be required to pay a deposit(s) when booking. The deposit amount will be advised by your travel consultant. All deposits are non-refundable for changes of mind or cancellations. Final Payment is required no later than 5 weeks prior to departure. Some services require full payment at the time of booking. 


Payment Methods

Bank transfer: This may take up to 2 business days to process. Please ensure that payment via bank transfer is made at least 2 business days prior to the actual due date and your travel consultant must be notified once payment is made. If the bank transfer made overseas, a bank transaction fee of $25.00 will be added to your final price. (Please note that this fee is charged by New Zealand bank providers.)

Credit card: Credit card is accepted and a surcharge will be applied. 


Booking Acknowledgement & Confirmation

Acknowledgement of your booking request will be sent via e-mail or telephone call within 48 hours of your request being received. Please ensure you check your e-mail regularly.

Payment must be received within 72 hours of booking confirmation unless otherwise agreed by us the agent. Failure to pay for tickets within this time results in automatic cancellation of the booking. We accept no responsibility for loss incurred due to automatic cancellation or failure of e-mail delivery.

We will assist in providing information based on the information supplied by you in the booking form or booking engine. This information as well as other related information supplied by the Agent and any links within the site are supplied in good faith; however should be treated as a guideline only.

Once your booking is confirmed, a confirmation voucher will be send via email or courier will be at your own expense.

The final responsibility for ensuring documentation is correct is that of the individual traveler.

The posting/courier of travel documentation is the responsibility of you. The agent will not be held responsible for tickets lost by a third party, any charges associated with reissue and re sending of documentation will be at your expense.



We act as an agent only. We sell various travel related products on behalf of numerous transports, accommodations and other service providers, such as activities companies, car rental companies, coach, rain and cruise line operators. Our obligation is to make bookings on your behalf and to arrange relevant contracts between you and travel service providers. We have no responsibility for these services nor do we make or give any warranty for representation regarding their standard. All bookings are made on your behalf subject to the terms and conditions and limitations of liability imposed by these service providers. Your legal recourse is against the specific provider but not us. 


Accuracy of Information & Limitation of Liability

The Agent does not endorse or recommend any particular travel service provider.

The Agent and its third party suppliers have taken reasonable care that the content of this travel web site, including all travel information and listings is correct but is subject to amendment at any time without notice. The Agent publishes such information in good faith. As the user you acknowledge and accept that:

The Agent cannot and has not checked the accuracy of all information provided by travel service providers such as airlines and hotels.

The hotel listings may include errors and travel service providers such as airlines, hotels, wholesalers and car suppliers are requested and encouraged to correct and update their information regularly and as needed.

You should make your own evaluation of the accuracy or completeness of any information, opinion, advice or other content available through the facility.

You are solely responsible for the suitability of any travel services, which you purchase by means of the service. In particular, we are not liable for any inconvenience caused or expense incurred as a result of any unsuitability of travel services for use in association with other travel services.

All maps, illustrations and photographs are for indicative purposes only and may not necessarily reflect actual places or positioning.

Any Agent's role in relation to your travel arrangements is limited to facilitating your booking and arranging travel documentation, payments and refunds as applicable. The Agent accepts responsibility for the performance of this role and for the negligence of its employees. However, to the maximum extent permitted by law, the Agent disclaims all liability for any technical errors, corruption of any data, unauthorized access to your personal data, inaccuracies in information supplied by third parties, or failure by the Agent to complete bookings where that failure is due to circumstances beyond its control.

We accept no responsibility or liability for any failure or delay on the part of any third party in providing travel services to you where your booking has been properly processed by it; nor are we responsible for any acts or omissions of airlines or other third parties in the course of delivery of such travel services. Where we are liable to you under these terms and conditions its liability will be limited to providing the relevant booking services again or to refunding money paid in relation to services not provided because of the Agent's default. Where refunds are due to you from third party suppliers of travel products or services, we will provide reasonable assistance to you in claiming such funds from those suppliers. Under no circumstances will we be liable for direct, indirect, consequential or incidental damages including but not limited to lost profits or savings or damages for disappointment.

We cannot accept responsibility for any travel service, rules and conditions that are incorrectly represented within this system. The data and services shown are provided in good faith and 'as is'. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of any data or services provided and to the maximum extent permitted by any law disclaimer all implied warranties in connection with such data or services. In no event shall we be liable for any injury, loss, claim, damage or any incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to lost profits or savings, arising out of or in any way connected with the use of any display within this site.


Items Not Covered

Unless otherwise specified, the cost of meals, drinks, laundry, insurance, sightseeing, local taxes, airport departure taxes and Passport or Visa application fees are not included in prices displayed.

Passports & Visas

It is your responsibility to ensure you have valid passports, visas and re-entry permits which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities. Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be your sole responsibility. All travelers must have a valid passport for international travel and many countries require at least 6 months validity from the date of return and some countries require a machine-readable passport. 


Travel Documents

Travel documents include (without limitation) airline ticket, hotel vouchers, tour vouchers or any other documents may be subject to certain conditions and/or restrictions including (without limitation) being non-refundable, non-date-changeable and subject to cancellation and/or amendment fees. Travel documents cannot be transferred to another person to use. All airline tickets must be issued in the name of the passport/photo identity holder. An incorrect name on a booking will be your responsibility if not advised at the time of booking. It is your responsibility to collect all travel documents from us prior to travel. As a general rule your travel documents will be available for collection 2 week prior to departure, however this will depend on your individual arrangements. Please contact your consultant to confirm when your travel documents are ready for collection. 


Monies Not Held on Trust

All monies paid by you to us will be property of iKiwi Travel Corporation Limited and will be a debt due and payable to the travel service provider once the services to which the money relates have been provided. You agree and acknowledge that such monies will not be held by us on trust for and on behalf of you and we may hold such monies in any account as we see fit, including with our own and/or other customer monies. 


Legal Claims

If any dispute arises in relation to the agreement between you and us, the laws of New Zealand will apply. You irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand, and waive any right that you may have to object to an action being brought in those courts. 

Changes to Terms & Conditions

IKIWI TRAVEL CORPORATION LIMITED has the authority and the right to at any time it sees fit to change or modify all or any part of these terms and conditions.

Any purchase of iKiwi Travel's products or service means you understand and agree with the above terms and conditions.
